To perform flawlessly the dancers, need to have proper nutrition that is balanced among nutrients. High demands on the dancers are placed during the dance classes and for many dancers, the daily demands of attending dance classes, work performances, or weekend competitions create a need for nutrition strategies to maintain adequate energy to reduce the risk of injury and perform their best. Dancers must eat a healthy diet to support rigorous dance practices and other activities while having enough energy for important body functions. The dancers need to take carbohydrates as a source of fuel which includes whole grains, rice, potatoes, fruits, vegetables, milk, and yogurt. The plate must also contain healthy fats and proteins. Consuming lots of fluids including water and fresh juices is also very important for dancers to stay healthy and perform perfectly. Good nutrition needs to be practiced daily not just the day before the performance. Eating a calorie-deficit diet is healthy for dancers because nothing burns more calories than dancing in 5-inch heels. The food that you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. So, the dancers need to eat food that fuels up their energy because following a calorie deficit regime can be poison for the dancers due to hectic work hours and dance practices.
